Papa

So Mom & Dad came down to visit the weekend of the 4th. It was really fun to have them here, although mom insisted on mopping and cleaning the bathrooms. They went home on Monday.

Then on Wednesday-ish my Papa got sick. My mom thought it was food poisoning from a local restaurant, but it lasted a while. By the weekend the throwing up and other stomach problems had stopped, but the pain persevered. On Sunday Mom went to church to teach the children. When she came back, Dad was in overwhelming pain. She took him to the clinic, where the doctor (who coincidentally works with my sister) did a test on him and then sent him to the ER. Eight hours into the ER visit, multiple tests and one CT scan later, they admitted him.

He has a bowel obstruction. They have a tube up his nose and down his throat. It is sucking out his waste and over the next two days hopefully the obstruction will break down or loosen, or whatever it is supposed to do. If that is the case, he will not need surgery.

So we are praying for that.

I love my papa.

Wherefore, the Lord commandeth you, when ye shall see these things come among you that ye shall awake to a sense of your awful situation, because of this secret combination which shall be among you; or wo be unto it, because of the blood of them who have been slain; for they cry from the dust for vengeance upon it, and also upon those who built it up.
